A day in the life of Max Arizmendi in his repair shop--with all that entails now in a world that has experienced the actions of one magical woman girl and her group. But the magical girl in question, Astemar Giralt, is among some of the customers visiting his shop today. She requires something to be fixed; yet what will it mean for the two of them when something is meant to be fluid instead?

TM/F. What is the fluidity of love and attraction? A "how can Heaven love me" story.

All characters are actually 18+, we just say magical girl because we respect that genre around here.

Title comes from The Great Big Disconnect by Darren Hayes. If you'd like to read to know more about the world Astemar and Max inhabit, please check out the site for how can Heaven love me! This story takes place chronologically after "Anathemaphilia". (AO3 mirror here.) But reading it isn't required, as each story is meant to be stand-alone. An attempt, anyway.

Content warnings (subject to change): "clocking" the wrong person, (future) monsterfucking except halfsies, very passionate arguments about gentrification???, some sort of dysphoria, gratuitous Spanish (I am really bad at CWs, apologies if I got the wording wrong)

• actual sex scene lol
• the end of the story
